The Havurah Artist Collective is an invitation-only community for the best Jewish artists of today, bringing together an exceptional group of creatives across disciplines to build relationships, share resources, and shape the future of Jewish art and culture.
Through monthly private Artist Salons, the Collective creates space for young Jewish artists to find their people, meet connectors, and carve out a creative community on their own terms.
Beyond in-person programming, the Collective will serve as a digital platform connecting Jewish artists with gallerists, curators, editors, producers, and commissioners. Members will be the first artists we consider for opportunities across Havurah’s platforms and programming, from exhibitions and film screenings to magazine features, publishing projects, and commissions.

Havurah is the home for the next generation of Jewish artists.
We are an independent Jewish arts and culture platform dedicated to making Jewish art relevant, compelling, and culturally influential for a new generation. Founded by artists, It brings together musicians, writers, designers, filmmakers, and creatives of all kinds through publishing, events, exhibitions, media, and community, creating a home for the next generation of Jewish creative life.
-
The Havurah Artist Collective is an exclusive network of the best emerging and established Jewish artists working across disciplines. Members gain access to a growing digital directory connecting their work with curators, galleries, editors, producers, and commissioners, alongside exclusive publishing opportunities, exhibitions, screenings, and collaborations through Havurah. The Collective is designed to put its artists first, creating a direct pipeline between Jewish creative talent and the people, platforms, and institutions shaping contemporary culture.
-
Being part of the Collective means having Havurah invested in you, your work, and your future as an artist. It’s a carefully cultivated community built to create opportunities, make connections, amplify your work, and support your creative growth both.
Membership is entirely free.

We’ll host exclusive gatherings and creative salons; facilitate collaborations across disciplines; and create opportunities to exhibit, publish, and share work with a wider audience. Think a real community of peers, opportunities to meet the people shaping Jewish culture, and a network that opens doors for one another.
-
The Collective will come together in person once a month in NYC for our Artist Salons (hoping to expand soon!), alongside optional virtual office hours for one-on-one support, brainstorming, and conversation. Between gatherings, we’ll stay connected and continue sharing opportunities, resources, and ways to get involved.
-
Across New York City, from bars and cafés to galleries, museums, studios, and other cultural spaces. We’re building outward, too, with gatherings coming soon to Los Angeles, Tel Aviv, Miami, Berlin, and other Jewish cultural hubs around the world.
There will also be online events for those who want to take part in the community outside of NYC.
-
Paid opportunities are an important part of what we’re building with our network. Our members will be the first artists we look to for commissions, collaborations, performances, and other paid opportunities that come through Havurah. We’ll also pitch artists in our network when people in our broader community are looking to commission Jewish art or hire creative talent.
-
Havurah will first spotlight and share collective artists’ work across our media platforms of over 60,000 followers, and connect them with opportunities within our community. Network members will also have access to monthly Artist Salons—in-person space to meet, share work, and build relationships with other Jewish artists—and separate office hours for individualized support, questions, brainstorming, and guidance. For now, our in-person programming is based in NYC, with plans to expand to other cities as the Artist Network grows.

Not at all. We believe some of the most important contributions Jewish artists make are through work that has nothing to do with Jewishness on its surface. Jewish artists should be supported in making whatever they feel compelled to make, whether it engages directly with Jewish history, culture, and religion or not. The Collective exists to support Jewish artists, not to prescribe what Jewish art has to look like.
-
The Collective is an invite-only community, and the link you received is personalized to you. If you choose to accept your invitation and sign up above, you will be added to our collective email list, whatsapp chat, and your dedicated Havurah liason will reach out to you with more information on what’s to come.
Our first Artist Salon will be a welcome party with music, food, and drinks, held at the Center for Jewish History (15 W 16th St, New York, NY 10011) on November 1st at 7:00 PM. If you are not based in New York, you are still a full part of the Collective, and our virtual office hours are open to you for one-on-one support, brainstorming, and conversation.

Havurah is simply dedicated to supporting Jewish artists, across religious backgrounds, gender, sexuality, or the country they are from. We believe Jewish art is expansive and impossible to separate from the world around it. We welcome a wide range of artistic and political perspectives, and believe that art should be allowed to challenge, provoke, and contradict. We are not here to engage in political flag-waving or enforce a single worldview. We are here to simply make space for artists to do what they do best: make good work.
-
Since Havurah began, we’ve supported and represented more than 500 artists, championing their work through our platform, publications, and events. The Collective is the next step: bringing that community together in one place, defining who the Havurah artist is, and building a more intentional infrastructure to serve them. We believe the best way to support Jewish artists is to first identify who they are, understand what they need, and build a network that puts their work first.
-
No, the Havurah Artist Collective is not an exclusive commitment, and you are welcome to join other collectives and artist groups.
